A product is considered cruelty free if no animal testing was done involving the product.

Discard (x) months months after opening
You should always make a note of when you've opened an ink. Inks should be discarded once open for a certain amount of time.
Manufacturers will generally state how long their ink is considered safe after opening it.
Do not leave out in the sun
Tattoo inks, opened or unopened, should not be exposed to extreme temperatures or UV rays.
In addition it is not advisable to have the ink in your ink caps exposed to direct sun light when tattooing, this speeds
up evaporation and can result in a higher concentration limit of certain chemicals before they are put into the skin.
EU Compliant
As of January 2022 only REACH compliant inks are allowed to be used in the EU. An EU compliant tattoo/cosmetic ink is one that
meets the standards laid out

Data on the portal managed by the brand
Tattoo manufacturers/brands have the option to manage the data on the Sukiru Portal, this means they would be
providing up to date data on their inks using an admin backend system in Inkflow.
If it's not managed then the data is kept up to date by the community and individuals contributing to the system.
Do not use in or near eyes
Tattoo inks are not tested for use in the eyes, this can have severe consequences.
Ingredients in inks may have unwanted or unpredicatable affects in the area surrounding the eyes due to the close
proximately to eyes and the sensitivity of the skin around them.
Do not dilute with water
Do not dilute your tattoo inks with water that is not meant for the specific purpose or doing so.
Tap water is not sterile and should not be mixed with inks. Only use products that are safe and regulated to
mix your with your inks or create your greywash solutions.
Patch test recommended
The manufacturer recommends that a patch test is performed on the client prior to using the ink.
Always make sure you know the correct procedures to perform a patch test.

Each manufacturer may have their own set of instructions for using the ink and safety procedures. Please read any instructions
present for the ink you use.
Shake well before use
Pigment particles may settle in the bottle due to gravity and the size of the pigment particles. Always shake your inks before use
to obtain an even consistency of your ink.
Vegan
Product is not derived from animal products and is stuitable for those following a vegan lifestyle.
